The third Annual OEDA Back to Business 3 Conference is coming soon! We have added the following speakers to our Sustainability track:

  • Robert Grott, NEBC, and Tom Chester, OIT will be speaking on Monday's Alternative Energy panel (1:00 to 2:30 p.m.)
  • Ed Vranizan, CH2MHill and Jennifer Allen, Portland State University will be presenting at Monday's Green Development session (3:00 to 4:30 p.m.)

Please note that we have extended the 2007 OEDA Awards submittal deadline There’s a little over two weeks left to submit an application for the OEDA awards program. Applications are due August 22 by 5:00 PM. [click here for Application Form]

  • Has your community, region or partnership developed and implemented a project or program to address key community readiness issues, regional considerations and new challenges that can only be resolved by facing the issues together? Then apply for the Outstanding Collaborative Partnerships Award.
  • Have you developed outstanding economic development marketing and promotional campaigns and/or materials? If so, apply for the Creative Marketing & Promotions Award.
  • Is your organization using the Internet as an effective marketing tool? Then apply for the Award recognizing the Best Website for Economic Development.
  • Is there a recruitment win or creative expansion and retention project in your community that merits special attention from your peers? If yes, apply for the Business Development Success Story Award.
  • Would you like to recognize a person with leadership for the economic development industry in Oregon? Nominate him or her for the Economic Development Leader of the Year.

Winners will be recognized at the OEDA Annual Conference on Monday, October 8. We encourage you to invite your board and elected officials to participate in the conference and recognition too.
