Are you interested in becoming a Certified Economic Developer?
This designation is offered through the International Economic Development Council and several opportunities to take the test are coming up this year. This is a rigorous but very educational professional development opportunity that will set you apart as you advance in this field. There are just seven in Oregon today. Medical Design and Manufacturing Show
January 29 - 31st, 2008
You are invited to join an experienced OEDA team attending this tradeshow in Anaheim California. Members help staff the booth; meet with companies exhibiting at the show, and make appointments with prospective businesses in the LA area. Oregon Leadership Summit Highlights now available online.
The Oregon Leadership Summit was held on December 3rd, at the Oregon Convention Center. The conference was attended by over 1000 business, political and community leaders. There was clear momentum for supporting transportation funding increases, a focus on sustainabiltiy inititives and updates on significant industry cluster development efforts. Oregon Enterprise Zone application Process to begin in January
If your community is interested in pursuing this business incentive program to attract and expand industrial and manufacturing firms, now is the time to begin. The process is officially launched on January 7th with applications due on April 4th.
