Posted: April 2nd, 2009 11:58 AM

A grant from the Oregon Economic and Community Development Department (OECDD) assisted a Redmond aviation equipment company market its products to customers worldwide at this week's Aero Friedrichshafen trade show in Germany.

Mountain High Equipment & Supply Company received a $2,500 Oregon Trade and Promotion grant to help defray a portion of the company's costs at the trade show. The company manufactures adaptive oxygen delivery devices and other aviation oxygen components at its Central Oregon location.

"We are very pleased with the state's assistance toward our efforts to market our products around the globe," said Mountain High CEO Robert Jamieson. "We know our products can compete globally and we hope to push into new markets and expand our reach."

Mountain High Equipment & Supply Company is located at the Redmond Airport Aviation Industrial Complex in Central Oregon. Mountain High has an outstanding aviation industry reputation for the research and design improvements to aviation oxygen use. Pilots and other oxygen users use the company's oxygen systems worldwide.

"These relatively small grants can pay big dividends for Oregon companies selling products in international markets," said OECDD Director Tim McCabe. "This is just one of the many ways OECDD works to help existing Oregon businesses stay competitive around the globe."

OECDD offers financial assistance to Oregon companies who wish to take advantage of international trade shows and trade missions to enter new markets or expand existing ones. Through the Oregon Trade Promotion Program (OTPP), International Trade Services of the Oregon Economic & Community Development Department will reimburse up to 50 percent of a company's eligible expenses up to $2,500 per pre-approved strategic event.
