SALEM, OR— In the high-stakes world of business recruitment, Oregon has a leg up on the competition. OregonProspector.com, a website dedicated to providing detailed information on available building sites in Oregon is the number one result on Google for those searching "Industrial Buildings and Lands."
The website was developed through a partnership with the Oregon Economic Development Association, the Oregon Economic and Community Development Department, and other partners. OregonProspector.com provides a comprehensive database of available sites and buildings by city, county, type of property and size using a powerful geographic information system. Oregon is strong and getting stronger."
The website recently received a United States Department of Agriculture grant, which will be invested in new search capabilities and other enhancements to the site. There are currently 429 land sites and buildings listed on OregonProspector.com, with 48 of
those certified through the Governor’s Certified Industrial Lands program. Oregon manages an industrial site certification program with an ample inventory of sites now declared "project-ready."
This expedites construction, with groundbreaking able to occur within six months or less for most projects. This is possible because regulatory work is all done in advance, giving more certainty for businesses in locating and developing projects quickly.
