Historic Astoria, Oregon has loon been the home port of generations of fishermen. Today salmon, albacor, sturgeon, crab, shrimp, oysters and clams are brought to the docks. The Seafood Center strenghtens Northwest communities by providing education, training and promotional service to new and emerging businesses. Through it's Community Seafood Initiative, the Center works with harvesters and processors to help them seize new market opportunities and add value to their businesses and the communities which they support.
